Cerridwen and Rhiannon have lived with Heather since they were rescued from the MSPCA shelter in Springfield, Massachusetts in October 1993. They are named for goddesses in Welsh mythology who were known for their ability to assume the shape of various animals. According to some authorities, Cerridwen and Rhiannon are different names for the same goddess. In any case, these household deities have assumed the form of felines, and they are very much at home with both Heather and Jari now. The cats love their home with plenty of windows to sit in, three flights of stairs to run up and down, and all those wonderful cubbyholes in the attic studio where they can hide and have as many catnaps as they want. Cerridwen likes to help Jari work at his computer, while Rhiannon keeps an eye on Heather's desk.

Rhiannon doesn't seem to be reading these papers, but she's keeping them in their place...

I'm not sure, but I think Cerridwen might be reading the weather report...

Rhiannon never was a lap cat - until she met Jari.
